Scent Work
Dogs have an amazing sense of smell and a natural desire to hunt. These classes focus on teaching you how to encourage and develop your dog's natural scenting abilities by using their desire to hunt and their love of toys, food and exercise. It's a great class to discover your dogs scenting accumen. You and your dog will have fun, build confidence, and burn lots of mental and physical energy. |

SCENT WORK BEGINNERS LEVEL 1
A five week class to start the exciting game of nose work. The dogs learn to hunt for food, paired with the target odor. As the class progresses the dogs learn to do more and more complex searches including elevation |
SCENT WORK INTERMEDIATE LEVEL 2
This class expands the dogs knowledge of odor in the different environments.. They learn how to successfully navigate container, exterior, interior, buried (AKC) and vehicle (NACSW) searches. |
SCENT WORK ADVANCED LEVEL 3
This class continues to expand the dogs’ knowledge of odor in different environments; the searches become more complex and three more odors are introduced. |
SCENT WORK COMPETITION LEVEL 4
All aspects of competition are taught in these advanced classes. Handlers learn how the read their dogs in a blind search. They get prepared for the first step of competition – the odor recognition test on to the highest levels. |
